David is a British and American PGA member. He comes to the academy after working at The Duke’s course in St Andrews, where he played a vital part in building up an extremely strong corporate and individual member clientele base.
David started playing golf at fourteen and by the age of eighteen had turned pro. He started his training at the Jack Nicklaus Golf School in Carden Park and went on to receive his British PGA certificate.
After receiving his certification, his proactive approach to golf attracted the attention of Whistling Straits and Blackwolf Run, home of the 2004 PGA Championship and the 1998 Ladies US Open, where he was permanently based. Here, David taught a wide range of golfers and golf schools at the Ji Kim Golf academy.
David returned to St Andrews and The Duke’s in 2005, where he was active in both teaching the St Andrews University ladies teams and beginners. He was tremendously instrumental in increasing and improving both numbers and development. At this point in his career, David completed his PGA of America certification, making him the youngest and one of an elite few worldwide; to hold both British and American PGA class A status.
