Deluxe Room: Located in the east wing of the hotel, the Deluxe Rooms have a veranda with side sea views or views to the swimming pool area. All verandas are furnished with a table and two chairs to enjoy the light, refreshing breeze of the Madeiran evenings.

The rooms are elegantly appointed featuring modern furniture, air conditioning and heating, cable TV, direct dial telephone, room safe and a minibar. There is also a comfortable rest area with two armchairs and a table. All bathrooms have a bathtub and a separate shower, bathrobes, hair dryer, make-up mirror and amenities. Superior Room: All Superior Rooms are located in the west wing of the Hotel on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors. From the furnished veranda you can enjoy pool and side sea views. This room type is larger than the Deluxe Rooms and offers the same facilities plus a trouser presser and coffee/tea making facilities. The decoration is modern, comfortable and the living area includes a sofa bed, two armchairs and a table. The bathroom includes a bathtub and a separate shower cubicle besides amenities such as make-up mirror, hair dryer and bathrobes.

Junior Suite: The Junior Suites have a 40sq m area of sheer luxury and comfort in a modern design and pleasant earth tones. The suites are located on the west and east wings of the hotel. These suites offer the same facilities as the Superior Room and have an independent living room with two armchairs, a small table, a sofa bed and a dinning table for four people. The bathroom offers a whirlpool bathtub with separate shower and also includes hair dryer, make-up mirror and bathrobes.

Tower Suite: The Tower Suites occupy 40sq m and are located on the centre of the building on the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th floors, enjoying captivating views to the sea. They all have a spacious, furnished veranda plus all the facilities of the Superior Room. The Tower Suites are elegantly decorated in earth tones and offer a separate living room area with armchairs and a sofa bed as well as a dinning table for four. There is also a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. The bathroom has a whirlpool bathtub, a separate shower and bathrobes, hair dryer and make-up mirror.

Local Area

São Roque Chapel, located close to Tivoli Madeira Hotel, was built at the end of the 15th century to honour a vow made by the second Governor of Machico to the saint for his miracle of ending the plague!

For fine panoramas of Madeira's east coast - Porto Santo Island and the desert islands, there are two excellent viewpoints above Machico.

Santo da Serra

Santo da Serra is a magnificent mountain layout which has been ranked in the top 100 courses in Europe by Golf World magazine. The course comprises of three nines, with the Machico and Desertas loops the most challenging and used for the Madeira Island Open. Santo de Serra winds through a botanical garden and up the slopes of the mountains to 1,000ft above sea level, so it’s best enjoyed on a clear day when the views across Machico Bay are simply breathtaking. However, four lakes, plenty of bunkers and dense woodland mean you let the views distract you from your play at your peril. Facilities at Santo da Serra include a golf academy, driving range and chipping and putting green.

Palheiro Golf Course

Palheiro Golf is a beautiful layout with breathtaking views, fast undulating greens, well-placed bunkers and tight fairways that reward accurate play. The course winds around the Palheiro Estate which is famous for its pine forests, centennial trees, flowering shrubs and lush vegetation. Standout holes include the attractive 9th with its exotic trees and the spectacular par-five 18th where your elevated position in the fairway affords you views out to the Atlantic Ocean and tempts you to go for the heavily tree-lined green in two. Facilities include a six-hole academy course, chipping green with bunker, putting green and driving range.

Porto Santo

Porto Santo is the host of the European Tour’s Madeira Islands Open. The course, which was designed by five-time major champion Seve Ballesteros, stretches all the way across the island from dune-rolling beach to dramatic basalt cliffs. Ballesteros designed Porto Santo to blend in with the natural landscape. The course features two distinct zones – a southern loop in the American tradition, dotted with lakes and demanding a long, precise game; and a northern nine played along spectacular cliff tops. There is also a nine-hole ‘pitch-and-putt’ course of par-three holes (ideal for training precision shots), and a driving range. Facilities at the clubhouse include a sauna, Jacuzzi, and pro shop.
