The Barcelo Montecastillo Hotel, an elegant five-star Andalucian Hotel, is situated within the Montecastillo Resort - home to one of the very best golf courses in Europe (a Jack Nicklaus-designed layout which held the Volvo Masters from 1997 to 2001). The resort has two restaurants, two bars, two outdoor swimming pools, two football pitches, a tennis court, a multipurpose court, four paddle tennis courts and Spa with an indoor heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, saunas and gym, as well as a new conference centre. A castle from 1900 accommodates the pro-shop, caddie master and the club house bar, as well as some meeting & banqueting rooms. There is also an excellent golf academy with extensive practice facilities – ideal for visiting groups and corporate events.

Montecastillo was venue of the European Tour’s season-ending Volvo Masters from 1998 to 2001. Designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, it features strategically placed lakes, rolling hills and elevated tees affording spectacular views. The 18th hole is particularly worthy of note, with the tee 40 metres above the fairway and the green surrounded by a lake.

The Arcos Gardens Golf Course is a modern challenge, well maintained with natural undulations and views of the surrounding farmland and the town of Arcos de la Frontera – just a short drive from Jerez. The fairways are wide with bunkers being the main hazard throughout the course, well placed on the fairways as well as green side. The English and Swedish Golfing Unions both use the facilities at Arcos for their winter training camps.

Sherry Golf regularly hosts the Qualifying Event for the European Tour and is located just 1.5km from Jerez. The course is reasonably flat with wide fairways and large greens. However, a variety of tee positions make it challenging for all standards of player. The practice facilities are very good with a large driving range, pitching and putting greens. Sherry Golf is popular with large groups, with restaurant facilities in the clubhouse (1800m²) and in Torrelaguna, a multi-purpose building capable of hosting up to 500 people.
