The Lorrin Golf EWGA Order of Merit 2012 provides a league table for performance of English women and girl amateur golfers across a spectrum of championships and team events. Points are awarded for all finishing positions from 1st to 20th in stroke play and last 16 in match play. Each event is classified according to the quality of the field and a weighting multiple is applied to the points awarded. Teenager Charley Hull is England’s number one – twice over. The 15-year-old has become the first player to win both the ladies’ and the girls’ orders of merit! Charley, from Woburn, finished the season almost 500 points clear of 2011 Order of Merit Winner Holly Clyburn (Woodhall Spa) at the top of EWGA’s ladies’ table. In the girls’ order of merit she was just over 600 points ahead of British champion Lauren Taylor (Woburn).
